Procaterol HCl
Indications/Uses
Remission of various symptoms caused by resp obstructive disturbances due to moderate acute asthma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Usually 30-50 mcg (0.3-0.5 mL) by a nebulizer w/ deep breathing. Childn Usually 10-30 mcg (0.1-0.3 mL), Dose may be adjusted according to age & severity of symptoms.
Special Precautions
Hyperthyroidism, HTN, CV disease, DM. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Palpitation, tachycardia, tremor, headache, nausea, vomiting; shock & anaphylactoid reactions; decreased in serum K levels.
Drug Interactions
Cathecolamines, xanthine derivatives, corticosteroids & diuretics.
